At DTE, we care deeply about both wood and the environment – so much so that we have documents to prove it. Here you can see our most important certifications.

ISPM 15	Increasingly, countries are requiring that wooden packaging passing their borders be treated according to ISPM 15. This means that the wood must be heat-treated to 56°C in the core of the timber for at least 30 minutes. The treatment is done to rid the wood of any harmful insects. The IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention) has developed this standard, ISPM 15, which many countries refer to and gradually implement into their national legislation. Aven is licensed by the Swedish Board of Agriculture for marking according to ISPM 15 and holds a license from the Swedish Board of Agriculture (SJV) that allows us to mark the pallet with this stamp. FSC® and PEFC	FSC® and PEFC are both independent non-profit organizations that have established important standards for sustainable forestry. These standards emphasize: Preservation and protection of biodiversity. Forest management must comply with applicable legislation, international treaties, and conventions. Forest management must maintain, preserve, and restore services and environmental values of the forest ecosystem and must avoid, improve, or reduce negative environmental impacts. Forest management should maintain or improve the social and economic conditions of forest employees both nationally and locally. There should be established operational plans for the certified forest, with emphasis on managing the forest's long-term economic viability. Both frameworks are based on the premise that the timber used can be traced back to the original forest. Aven has chosen to be traceable and is certified under both systems. SS EN ISO 9001 - Quality Management System	SS-EN ISO 9001 is the Swedish adoption of the international standard ISO 9001 for quality management systems. The standard provides organizations with a structured framework to establish and maintain effective quality management systems. Focusing on customer focus, process orientation, and continuous improvement, SS-EN ISO 9001 helps organizations strengthen their reputation by demonstrating their commitment to quality and continuous improvement. SS EN ISO 14001 - Environmental Management System	Aven follows the Swedish environmental management system SS EN ISO 14001 and adheres to the international standards established by ISO and SIS. The system provides guidelines and requirements for creating and maintaining effective environmental management systems. FOR 50	The recycling symbol "FOR 50" is a specific symbol used to indicate the material type and recycling possibilities for packaging and other products. FOR 50 signifies that the packaging is made of at least 50% renewable material. It can be useful for consumers who want to make more environmentally friendly choices by selecting packaging made from renewable resources instead of non-renewable materials.
